WebSep 28, 2014 · Gsync is WAY better. To be an official gsync monitor, the monitor has extra circuitry in it that takes care of the sync. That's why gsync monitors are more expensive. Freesync monitors, many of them in any case, have a bad habit of flickering when using them as a gsync compatible monitor on a GeForce card. WebSet FPS Limit in Games or Driver Settings: If your high FPS is the reason behind your G-Sync monitor flickering, simply set an FPS limit right below the refresh rate. That will do the trick. You can go to either the game settings or driver settings to manually set an FPS limit. For example, if your monitor is 165hz, set the FPS limit to 161.

WebThis monitor is on the G-Sync list. Not even gsync compatible, but straight up GSync. I have tried literally everything. There is some odd behavior. Recently in Watch Dogs legion that just dropped, I am able to run the bechmark in full screen with GSync on and I get no flicker. The tutorial was also fine. No flicker at all.
