I assume that the same principles apply. Problem is, the tire becomes rigid. Unlike air or fluid filled, the tire cannot shape itself to maintain traction. The calcium and antifreeze were in when I bought the tractors, and I did the wiper fluid myself. My big tractor has 15.5x38 tires filled with Calcium Chloride in tubes. I just had the tire truck to the farm to replace a tube. $476.
